Lunar Business Cycles: Synch with Nature to Empower your Professional Life

In this workshop we will get Diana (Goddess of the Moon) and Auntie Flo (your Menstrual Cycle) on a conference call for a Strategic Planning session to synchronize and thrive - in our business, in our personal lives, in 2019 and beyond.

Try as we might to control Nature, She ultimately has a powerful seat on our Executive Board. We can learn to work with the energetic data, intelligent rhythms, and supreme cycles lunar and menstrual flows offer us. We can learn to coordinate these points of information to effectively manage our own biological rhythms, feel more balanced emotionally throughout our cycles, and maximize timing for creating and birthing our personal projects and business offerings.

This workshop is led by Kathryn Cornelius of Whole Human Consulting.

In this 2 hour workshop you will learn:

1 - What the Lunar Cycle is, its Phases, how it affects our body / mind / soul, and how to work with this energy

2 - What the phases of your Menstrual Cycle mean for your energy, and how to best plan what to do and when

3 - What self-care practices are beneficial to use at different phases

4 - How to map your own moon cycles with the lunar calendar

5 - How to create your own personal Lunar Business Cycle Plan

Working with these rhythms is a potent personal practice and secret weapon business capability that can benefit all areas of your life. It is a foundation to reawaken your own sense of power and agency as a woman by reframing the menstrual cycle from a burden to a source of power and regeneration.

The World needs you resourced, rested, nourished, and empowered to take action from your best self to do all the beautiful work you are here to do in this lifetime. And, it doesn't have to be so hard, so exhausting! We are here to enjoy our lives and our work, with ease and grace.

*Note: This workshop welcomes all genders and gender identities, as well as pregnant and Post-menopausal women. A significant portion of the content will specifically focus on the biological aspects of physically experiencing a menstrual cycle.

WHAT IS BREATHWORK?

Breathwork is an active meditation technique that is a powerful tool for transformation. It can be heart opening, a deep release, emotional, cathartic—whatever you need it to be in the moment you are there. This two-part breath is done in and out of the mouth which helps to connect you to your body and activates your energy system. You will be lying down - the journey takes you through activation, process and integration. A healing experience that will help you access deeper levels of awareness and dive deeper into your true self. In this hour-long journey you’ll breathe, explore emotion, laugh and cry. It creates an opportunity to help you shed whatever parts of yourself you are ready to leave behind, leaving you to feel lighter and clearer. You will guided by a carefully selected soundtrack made just for this unique experience.

Benefits of Breathwork include:
- Stress reduction
- Restores energy level balance throughout the body
- Improves concentration and perception/intuition
- Provides relaxation

IS IT OKAY TO BE A BREATHWORK NEWBIE?

YES! We will walk you through the basics and make sure we're focusing on the areas that best serve you during this workshop and its greater themes. This is why we keep gatherings small.

New Moon in Sagittarius Circle

December’s New Moon is all about focusing on fire. As we prepare for Winter Solstice & the hibernation to follow, including lots of internal work and resolutions, we need to build our own heat and ignite our root chakra.

Sagittarius’ New Moon is here to remind us that fire is an important element to praise and keep by our side. It is easy for us to focus air/breath, water & earth… but fire is easily neglected or even feared. Let us set the intention to lead from our internal flames & ignite our lowest chakras related to grounding, creativity, confidence and sexuality. The seeds manifested today will lead to self-compassion and love, moving into our new year goals and personal reflections, which are usually governed by our higher chakras.

Join local Energy Healer & Reiki Practitioner Cierra Rossy for a gathering that will promote clarification through Meditation, Intention-Setting, and cleansing through Reiki.

This special gathering is usually limited to 8-10 participants & is hosted monthly. This moon circle takes place at the Latela Art Gallery.

Tea, treats & gifts always included :)

$39 PER PERSON, $60 IF YOU BOOK IN A PAIR.

~

This workshop includes the following:

1 - A discussion on the astrology, chakra, and the energetic elements associated with this New Moon.

2 - A group-led meditation to align the chakras while the room & our bodies are Reiki'ed with a collection of Healing Crystals we have in the gallery.

3 - A group New Moon intention-review & release ritual channeled to realign with the intentions you've already set into the universe.

Consider this New Moon an opportunity to ignite your own personal flame that will keep you warm throughout the winter months.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

FAQs

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?

Please bring a journal and pen, blanket, and an object related to you that connects to your internal flame  (this could be a warm article of clothing, or something conceptually related to your flame that reminds you to shine or feel sexy or creative).

The Journey Within Exhibition Opening

Join us for the opening of our newest exhibition ‘The Journey Within’ featuring abstract paintings curated by Willa Alexander-Jaffe on display from Dec 1-22, 2018.

This public opening is FREE. Please RSVP here.

~

TheJourneyWithin-ExhibitionFlyer

Exhibition information:

(Washington DC) Latela Art Gallery is proud to host The Journey Within, an exhibition that explores the abstract expressionism of eight local artists. This exhibition is meant to be an experience where the audience may interact with artworks that present a variety of emotions from the artists’ personal lives, psychedelic journeys, dreams, and fears. Each artist represents a singular style through the choice and application of their chosen medium. This exhibition explores a centralized theme of self-analysis within the artists and their paintings.

The Journey Withinis curated by Willa Alexander-Jaffe, a junior at The George Washington University and 2018 Curatorial Assistant Apprentice at the Latela Art Gallery. The inspiration for this exhibition stemmed from Willa’s personal experiences as a young adult; her time spent as a college student led her passion for art to grow, but simultaneously caused her to experience feelings of invisibility when surrounded by “competition”. Ultimately, this exhibition surveys the hardship and excitement associated with following one’s dream and therefore, also tapping into one’s intuition or inner compass.

Featured artists: Elizabeth Camilletti, Dominique Fierro, Kay Fuller, Anne Hanger, Tamora Ilasat, Brian Johnson, Karen Van Allen, and Rachel Wishner.

The Journey Within. December 1-22, 2018 at Latela Art Gallery (716 Monroe Street NE Studio #27 Washington DC 20017, 202-340-3280). A public reception will be held on November 30, 2018 6-8pm. Scorpio New Moon Circle

Halloween may be over, but the the Spirit of the dark still lingers. This month, we are being asked to remove our masks and face our darkness head on…

November’s New Moon is all about accepting the darker aspects of yourself to usher in your revival. So much of new moon rituals is about “light” and “beginnings” that there is very little time to hold space for “darkness” and “endings”.

Scorpio’s New Moon is here to remind us that some of the best healing happens in the dark. There is no need to fear while traveling through this murky journey because no other sign has mastered the flow between dark and light like Scorpio; they are the perfect guide! Scorpio accepts nothing at face value and has the ability to peer through the surface of situations. Use this energy to navigate through your darkness… straight into your light.

Join local Energy Healer & Reiki Practitioner Cierra Rossy for a gathering that will promote clarification through Meditation, Intention-Setting, and cleansing through Reiki.

Meditation for Improving Communication

Maybe you've been having the same conversation again and again and are feeling stuck, or you've become so accustomed to the painful cycle of communication that you don't want to even try anymore. It all seems so hard.

You think about the type of relationships you want with your partner, family, friends, colleagues, and wonder why you can't make it happen.

To start changing the way you communicate you only need to set aside ten minutes a day. What are you doing in those ten minutes? Meditating!

As motivational philosopher Jim Rohn has said, "You can't hire someone else to do your push-ups for you."

To overcome what's holding you back from telling the truth, responding instead of reacting, feeling capable in stressful situations, and like you can resolve issues that come up, you have to do your push ups - mental push ups.

Learning meditation and specific meditations to improve communication will help you:

- respond instead of react

- change your relationship to your inner dialogue

- see others with friendly eyes

- relax in confrontational situations

- change your relationship to criticism

- tell the truth in a way others can hear

If you're thinking to yourself, yes, I want that, and you're ready to start seeing these changes come to life, then this workshop is for you.

Breathwork with Gwen

We are very excited to host Gwen Dittmar for a Breathwork Workshop, sponsored by Curasalve Skincare and SOM.

In this workshop, Gwen will create a sacred space through ancient rituals. Participants will then lay on the floor with music playing and actively breathe, followed by meditation and then sitting in a circle to create intentions from an embodied and elevated space. Gwen closes the circle with a closing exercise and gratitude.

Participants leave feeling connected, empowered, peaceful, and calm and inspired from an embodied place for the month ahead. Breathwork benefits can include: relieving stress, depression, anxiety, fear, anger, blocks and tension and opening to a more natural state of peace, calm, gratitude, clarity and connection to experience more grace and flow and lead your life from the heart and love. After completing the workshop participants will learn how to take the practice home and incorporate into their daily meditation practice.

NEW MOON CIRCLE: Meditation, Healthy Self-Talk, Self-Care Intention-Setting & Reiki

The new moon allows for a fresh start each month as it begins its newest cycle.

Virgo season is one of constant shedding of old skins and revitalizing every aspect of your world. Also, Virgo is her biggest critic. So if she's in your chart, you might be beating yourself up a bit too much. This sitting will focus on HEALTHY Self-Talk and our Intention-Setting session will take a particular focus to manifesting a better self-care routine.

This is your opportunity to get to know the person you're becoming on this New Moon. Make plans for the future that shake things up a bit!
